Partner Pilot Awards
The Partner Pilot Award supports investigator pairs, with one person from an academic institution and one from a community-based organization or public health agency. Our Developmental Core will provide pilot funding of up to $20,000 for four or five innovative proposals that have the potential for extramural funding upon completion of the pilot study.
D-CFAR investigators with primary appointments at WashU, SLU, and HSSU who are either early-stage investigators or more established researchers shifting their focus to HIV are eligible to apply. PIs can submit in collaboration with researchers from other institutions/organizations, but we cannot accept applications directly from researchers outside of WashU, SLU, or HSSU.
We are seeking US-based proposals in basic, clinical, behavioral, substance use, and implementation science that align with five main focus areas from the Office of AIDS Research (OAR) professional judgement budget:
Accelerate implementation science to end the HIV epidemic
Develop new technologies for self-testing and multiplex testing
Understand and treat HIV-related co-occurring conditions
Advance progress towards an HIV cure
Strengthen HIV data sharing and harmonization
