Midwest D-CFAR Investigators Receive Transcend Initiative Grant
April , 220026
The Midwest D-CFAR is proud to announce that members of the Midwest D-CFAR, including Drs. Christina Stallings, Ginger McKay, and Emmanuel Tetteh, have received a Transcend Initiative grant from WashU’s Here and Next research funding program.
The project, titled the WashU Mycobacteria-focused Transcend Program (MycoTranscend), was selected for its strong scientific vision and collaborative approach to advancing mycobacterial research. This initiative supports interdisciplinary teams addressing complex, high-impact challenges and provides research development resources.
This award enhances the Midwest D-CFAR’s research capacity in mycobacterial science, particularly in the context of HIV and other opportunistic infections. It also creates new opportunities for collaboration across the D-CFAR network.
With support from Washington University’s Research Development Office and the D-CFAR, the MycoTranscend team will proceed to launch their initiative. This achievement is expected to have a significant impact within the D-CFAR and broader research community. Congratulations to the MycoTranscend team on this well-deserved achievement!
